Choices, choices, choices.

I think Biden will be a good choice for the next 4 years and maybe the 4 years after will be headed by a "New Guard" based on a more progressive arm of the Democratic Party.

I don't think you can make the jump from 4-5 to a complete progressive leader in one leap.

We have lots of clean up that maybe Biden can get started and he is a better fixer than trying to make a giant progressive jump AND the cleanup at the same time.

I think Mother Nature will catch up to us before ANYBODY has the political will or courage or power to contain the predatory behavior of our current capitalistic model. Just wanting to implement lots of progressive policies is not enough. There are many roadblocks. No party on the left, right, or center will be able to build enough consensus to contain the problem that is the major roadblock to climate change. Mitigate ... maybe. Contain ... no.

Humans won't disappear from the planet but grandchildren of the current middle age parents will pay the price.

To borrow a phrase ... Nature is judge, jury, and executioner. We need nature it does not need us.

So for now let Joe do his thing. It will be somewhat better ... and maybe we will get a running start to do the best we can even if that fix is only a partial solution.
