Climate change aside I am not sure how capitalism works somewhere in the future. One goal of capitalism is get the repeating costs out of the process. Human wages are a repeating cost. Many are pushing Artificial Intelligence as the way to get humans out of the process. Uber, Amazon, and others of large scale see this as a way to reduce cost.

Unfortunately how will the masses earn money to buy the items or use the services of the large scale capitalist organizations if they have been made an irrelevant part of society. They will not be just unemployed but irrevelant.

It seems to me it is more just short term thinking and these mega capitalist organizations believe they will fix that problem of no customers when we get there. Or maybe just the rich will keep them profitable. Well for a while maybe.

Curious but a “standard” human short term strategy.
