Holy Crap Bat Woman (or Laura) … I looked at a brief summary of Democracy, Inc. and seems very plausible … I MUST read the whole thing. It was written in 2010 but I believe our problems today did NOT just start in the last few years. It probably did start a few decades ago.

Certainly there is something very wrong in America and even the world. It is clear we are on a slide to somewhere … somewhere not so good.

I believe that Mother Nature will get us before the end of this century unless we stop pumping oil TODAY. If you want to exchange titles you should read “The Uninhabitable Earth” by David Wallace-Wells. There is a good essay (link below) if you don’t want to read the whole book. Some say it is too alarmist (sort of like Umair) but even if only a portion is true we are doomed. I am pretty techie and I thought I was “up” on climate issues but there are lots of things in the book that I never realized. (Example: Did you know that more carbon in the air reduces protein is rice? … And what cultures depend on rice protein?) If you fact check some of what he says most is supported by bonafide scientific research.

I think this book could be the end result of Democracy, Inc.

Thanks for the tip on the book … and thanks for the claps.
