I am a follower of Chris Hedges right here on Medium and I have learned much from his stories.

I cannot easily imagine how stressful it must be to be part of the trans community … in the early stages of a transition and those that have grown comfortable with their new gender identity in public.

But I do appreciate the personal stories that help give me an ever so small incremental appreciation of a few of the trans issues.

I applaud your bravery to embrace your gender identity. I applaud your bravery to make a public transition. I applaud your bravery to write about it so we can all better understand.
