I just ran across this post and I admire anybody who can do 21 months of Krav Maga.
I tried a few Krav Maga classes along the way on my martial journey but I found my small frame to not work well. Although it could have been the instructors that had just started a new school in town.
My training has been about half in Japanese linear styles and half in Chinese more circular styles. My best instructor was in a Sholin Kempo style and that is where I learned Zanshin. Focus, focus, focus. At the time I did not even know how important that skill would become in the dojo and in life. This instructor could flash a kick or punch within a quarter of an inch of your head before your block could reach the attacking arm or foot. There is nothing like seeing a kick coming toward your head at about 60 MPH to disrupt your focus.
