Monsters Among Us

Definition: a person of unnatural or extreme ugliness, deformity, wickedness, or cruelty.

Each pair of shoes represents a child that has died from guns since Sandy Hook.

If I was rich, you know, like Bill Gates, or Warren Buffett, or Jeff Bezos, I would find a billion dollars and post this picture to every TV outlet, in a Facebook ad targeted to show up for every user, every newspaper, every magazine, every billboard on a busy street, and anywhere else I could find to place it. It would show up so many times people would think about throwing away their TV, deleting their Facebook account, dropping their newspaper and magazine subscriptions, and maybe finding a new way to drive to work.

The simple caption would read:

Mitch McConnell … What kind of monster blocks all common sense gun regulations? If you are a Mitch supporter what kind of monster are you?

Is the picture above OK with you? Do you believe gun violence cannot even be partially mitigated by some common sense gun regulations? Go back and look at it and start counting pairs of shoes. Try to think how that parent felt, for each pair of shoes, when somebody knocked on their door and said “I am sorry to inform you …”. This is only the children. Thousands of other adults were killed since Sandy Hook.

Beware there are Monsters Among Us and they work in the Senate chambers in Washington, DC and in the White House.
