The Women on the Debate Stage Get It

During the Democratic Presidential debate there was more evidence that we need more feminine energy in leadership … more specifically as the President of the United States.

I cannot say that any of the Democratic candidates give me an overwhelming desire to endorse them right now but the debate on Thursday night had a very interesting close.

The moderator at the debate posed the question:

Either name a gift each would give to a rival onstage or ask forgiveness from a fellow candidate.

Both Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuhar asked for forgiveness for possibly being (my parapharase) too direct and/or too blunt and/or too enthusiastic.

The balance of the male participants seemed to take it as an opportunity to sell themselves or maybe gift a book they had written. They were all polite and respectful but not very introspective.

GIVE ME A BREAK

More evidence that we need more women in leadership.

A note to Elizabeth and Amy … It is OK to be a little direct, blunt, or enthusiastic when you can back it up. Thanks for being humble but take some notes from Megan Rapinoe et. al. It is OK to go show the world what you can do and not have to apologize for…
