My very un-scientific research and my "quackie-practor psychology degree" says that 4-5 supporters are NOT happy and that is why they follow him and autocrats like him.

There are various reasons they may rationalize their allegiance but I would propose they are simply NOT truly happy.

Sadly since the beginning of recorded history we have seen similar deplorable human behavior but social media makes recruiting followers easier.
