Sad but I think you are correct, William.

BUT ... Maybe there really IS a new revolution of the people that are willing to march peacefully for hundreds of days in many states to protest this treatment of people, blacks in particular, as inhuman. The Proud Boys et. al. simply don't have the drive, the brains, or the persistence to march for hundreds of days. They don't have a real movement. They are just bullies.

Maybe the election will make sure all three branches of government will be progressive and the movement will have the opportunity get some real traction.

I also think the "Old Racist White Guys" are beginning to literally die out and they are trying to hang on to their "Old Days" by their fingernails and maybe their time is up. The new younger generations simply don't have as much of problem with people that don't look like themselves.

I am hopeful that maybe we are at a turning point for humans. This week gives us a chance to make a meaningful change or we simply drive over the cliff.
