Thanks for noting my less than succinct comment. I was thinking about mental substance having more value that body shape but I did not communicate that clearly. Yes the thin people of substance are also very much OK. Thanks for the gentle reminder.
There was a recent story here about the most desirable quality in a parter being kindness. I think it goes beyond partner to any person where you can see at least a little into their heart. Your kindness shows because it is woven implicitly into your stories … as well as in your gentle reminder to me.
. . .
Your first trip to the nudist resort will create anxiety for the first 60 seconds. When you realize nobody cares what you look like you will also realize how “normal” your lumps and bumps look. If you go on the right day, after that first minute, you will feel the breeze and the sun on your whole body. The sensual feeling is exhilarating and at the same time the mental liberation is tranquilizing. And think of the new material you will have for a story here on Medium.
“I rolled into the parking lot feeling a bit nervous. OK … VERY NERVOUS, but determined. I opened the car door and walked to the office where I was greeted by a naked man who cheerfully took my daily grounds fee and said … ‘You can disrobe here or in the dressing room by the pool’. I take a deep breath and peel off my favorite leather pants then start unbuttoning my blouse while the man at the desk seems to be completing his task of checking me in without noticing this slightly lumpy blackjack dealer strip to her underwear right there in front of him. Next I reach behind my back … When I am fully naked he smiles and says ‘Don’t forget your sunscreen’ then gives me the receipt for my grounds fee. He gestures towards the pool where I see a dozen or more naked men and women. And then I start to notice … many have some of the same lumps and bumps like me …”
Well … you get the idea.
May you enjoy the Winter while you contemplate new activities for the Spring. And thanks for taking the time to reply to my response. I look forward to reading more of your stories.
