There are lots of heroes in this struggle.
From the young woman in the last photo of your piece to the older woman I saw on some live news coverage using a walker in Minneapolis a few nights ago heading toward the police line.
Maybe we are in 4-5's America but not mine and not yours and not the woman in the picture confronting a police officer.
Maybe it is false hope, but I have some hope, based on the demographics depicted in the videos of the protests. They are filled with people of color BUT there are also significant numbers of young white men and women. My hope is they will vote like never before and reflect the passion of their protests.
As a white guy that grew up in the 1960's with what I now know as white privilege I am hoping that I can somehow help, even if just in a tiny way, to have a positive impact on changing where we have arrived.
