There are more that agree with what you outlined as what is needed (well at least me) but I am pretty sure it won’t happen voluntarily. It may happen when Mother Nature catches up with what humans are doing to the planet.

Randall Monroe (physicist, cartoonist, author, engineer) recently wrote about a time line for the existence of the world as a 100 yard measurement. Complex life would be limited to the last 10 yards. Mammals would appear in the last 1.5 yards. Humans would appear in the last few millimeters. Recorded history would be in the last 30 thousands of an inch — the width of a human hair. So humans, me included, have managed to set up this climate catastrophe in just a blink. If I was Mother Nature I would want to get rid of humans. It is clear that we are the problem and maybe not capable of a solution. At least in numbers topping the current 7.7 billion people.

So eventually climate collapse will destroy many national governments and then the remaining humans may be able to survive in a new world order. The journey will be painful but probably some humans will survive.
