Meditation and Living In The Now

A solution for those f***ing political stories that drive you up the wall

If you have tried meditation but without much luck or you are a skeptic you should read this essay. I am a total convert and it has helped take me to a place in life where almost nothing creates remorse or anxiety but the journey was not exactly linear or short.

This is a bit of my personal experience to develop meditation skills. I am posting it to help people to understand meditation does not always require a dark quiet room and to extol the benefits I have received. I hope you don’t get too bored and can make it to the end. If you have struggled trying to meditate and want to try again with a different technique keep reading. If you want to discover a different way to look at life, definitely keep reeding. If you want to change the way you react to a political story, no matter if you are on the left or the right, you need to keep reading.

Over the years I have informally done meditation or maybe you would call it just quiet time activities or relaxation practice. I used it to get to sleep by relaxing my body starting with my face. It seemed to work but for years I never got very serious. I have now arrived at a point where I can meditate almost anywhere and anytime under any condition.
