You are very welcome.

I find that there are some people where what they say resonates deeply. What you wrote was one of those stories. When that happens I feel compelled to write back.

My mother too was pretty special. When I was 6 years old, in 1957, she had a brain hemorrhage and the solution was to tie off a carotid artery. She was paralyzed on her left side but strangely the only loss of intellectual ability was her loss of understanding time. She essentially was forced to live in the now.

She learned to read a clock but from that point foward there appeared to be no regrets from the past. At the time I did not understand but I watched for the next 35 years as she lived with grace embracing the now no matter what life threw at her.

A few years ago I had a lightbulb moment and realized what she had taught me. Since that time I have fully embraced living in the now and being very mindful. I do miss her but her gift to me makes me smile … and changed how I see life.

Thanks for what you contribute here. I will stay tuned for more.
